Veronica

Veronica is the friend that over thinks every situation. She has had bad catches and great catches but no matter how bad or how good, she always thinks too much. It all started with Rick. Rick was your good looking, smart, stud of a guy, soccer player and oh of course, such a player. He always had a girl interested in him, so a serious relationship was never his thing. When Veronica first found out that she had caught his attention. She knew for sure she would be just another number. That’s not exactly what happened. Vero is a very serious yet charismatic individual. She is set in her ways. This being something that Rick was not use to. She proceeded to pay no mind to the fact that Rick wanted a chance with her. We all know that when we act like we don’t care, it drives a man wild! J Sure enough, he practically hounded Vero until she finally accepted a date.

The date...

The night of the date, she saw a side that she had never a million years thought she would see, especially with “a guy like Rick”. He picked up her from her house at about 8 o clock. He was on time! (First plus sign) As she got in the car, he helped her in and then closed the door behind her (second plus sign), as they drove to the restaurant she realized they were going in the opposite direction of where she really thought they were going. She asked, “Umm, Rick, where are we going?” Rick answered, “I want you to see something.”

They pulled into what seemed to be an apartment complex, he walked around and opened her car door and guided her to a candle lit dinner in the middle of the courtyard. She asked him, “is this what you wanted me to see?” but of course his response was, “actually it’s not the place I wanted you to see, but my true side.” (Ding ding ding, we have a winner!)

How could anyone really let go of a guy like this? Days went by, months went by and then before you knew it years had gone by. But it wasn’t exactly the best years of her life. They dated for almost 4 years but unfortunately old habits die hard. Throughout the four years, they decided to take several breaks because of uncountable amount of conflicts with trust.

This makes me wonder, can you ever really trust a man? Or will he always be set in his old ways?

 

Time went by, and the relationship ended, but there was no sad ending here. Vero, being the strong woman she is continued dating and getting to know more and more men. As she went through life waiting for the right guy to come along she ran into a guy named Frank.

 

Frank is your typical Hispanic, sweet talking, polite, well groomed man. If he didn’t win you over with his looks he definitely won you over with his words. Unlike Rick’s situation, this was the man that would be able to tame the wild woman with the fierce heart.

Vero fell in love, and she fell hard.

 The moment she told me, I thought, “Is this the one? Could he really be her other half? Or would he turn out to be that bump in the road that we all go through several times before we find that “right” guy?”

And so a new relationship began….
